The City of Mount Vernon–Black Township Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Mount Vernon Youth Baseball and Softball since 1987 to operate the program and maintain Brittlebank Park. For four decades, this partnership has provided a strong foundation for youth athletics, community involvement, and the continued growth of baseball and softball in Mount Vernon.

Mount Vernon Youth Baseball and Softball is a nonprofit organization run solely by dedicated volunteers who are committed to providing opportunities for local youth. Every dollar generated through the program is reinvested back into the league—supporting player development, improving facilities, and strengthening both the baseball and softball programs for future generations.

Our mission is to build a sustainable, community-driven program that develops players with sound fundamentals, a competitive mindset, and high character. We are committed to creating an environment where athletes grow on and off the field, families stay connected, and pride in representing Mount Vernon continues to thrive.
